Jason Burress is the visionary behind this beautiful venue that is renowned for featuring top-tier talent, including national acts. Last year I happened to be passing through Terre Haute, IN on 9/11. Knowing that I would be stopping to sleep there with no scheduled show that night, and also feeling the weight of that date and all the lives lost, I decided to reach out to the fire department there and offer to play a show for free at one of their fire stations for the firefighters and EMTs. (I may not have much to offer but I can certainly provide some entertainment for a night.) I was welcomed into the Sugar Creek Fire Dept and I put on a full show for just the few that were there in what would come to be my favorite stop on that trip. It was a blast hanging with those gentlemen!

This year when I started to plan another free show with the main Terre Haute FD, there were so many folks interested it was determined that it wouldn’t be safe to host the show at a firehouse. So Capt. Arnold talked to the owner of the premiere music venue in Terre Haute - THE VERVE! Connie dug what I was wanting to do and offered to host the show, so if you see her that night please make sure to thank her!

Everyone is welcome but the show is indeed FOR Terre Haute first responders and their families.

Tuesday, September 9th is a weeknight so we’re starting a little earlier at 6:30p - but that’s just so we can have even more of a good time together!

I’ve made it a habit to go up and personally thank firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, and police every time I see them out on duty. They are some of the best people around and this show is just another way of showing them how much they are appreciated.

I’m so glad to have the chance to play again at the Commodore Grill in Nashville, TN! I played there about this time last year and had a blast. The crowd was great and the place was packed so get there early to grab a good seat. We took our family to Arkansas last summer and had such a great time, I promised myself I’d come back and play there one day. Well that day finally arrives on Sunday, September 7th at Tavern Round the Bend in Maumelle, AR and I couldn’t be more excited. Just a few minutes away from Little Rock, it’s a groovy looking bar with a chill vibe and a great bartender! I haven’t met her in person yet, but I already know Fadri is a rockstar - thanks for all your help in locking down this date!

Excited to have the opportunity to share our brand of Texas soul at Outlaw Dave’s Showcase at the House of Blues Houston this Wednesday night. Outlaw Dave and I go back a ways and I’m thrilled to be a part of this and his world famous radio show! We will be on the restaurant stage starting at 7p sharp. There’s a lot of other performers so don’t be late if you want to catch all the amazing acts. Special thanks to my good friend Melissa Sambrooks for making this happen!

We are excited to be playing at The Perfect Latte in Richmond, TX on Saturday, October 27th! I’ve had some friends play there and tell me what a great place it is so I’m definitely looking forward to bringing our brand of Texas Soul to some new ears. And since it’s in Richmond, right off the Grand Parkway, I hope to see a lot of old friends there as well!

Wow this one totally got dropped in our laps and we are pumped to be introducing our particular flavor of Texas Soul to the Foundation Room at the House of Blues Houston this Saturday night! It is a showcase of sorts so there will be different performers every hour. Tickets are $12 at the door or you can hit me up through the website or on fB for $10 tickets in advance. If you haven’t been to the Foundation Room, you’re missing out. I hope to see a bunch of happy faces singing along this Saturday night. We go on at 7pm sharp. Don’t miss it!

We just can't stay away from this place! We love playing the Ranch at Las Colinas and have a blast every single time - I expect nothing less than a rockin' good time when we come back to Irving, TX on August 24th. Bring a few friends for cold beer, insanely good food, and some legit Texas soul. We get going around 7p. Don't miss it!

So excited to be returning to the Patio stage this Saturday night - though I hear they recently changed their name to the Patio at the Pit Room so if it shows up that way on your map, don't be alarmed. In any case, we always have a blast here and this time the Murrell clan will be coming to party with us! We'll get going around 7. If you're hungry, the Pit Room is right next door and boasts (rightfully so) some of the best BBQ in the city - and that's saying something. Bring a friend and we'll see you there!

Game On Sports Bar in Conroe is where it's at! Sunday night from 8-11p. We call it a Micro Music Festival and you can sign up for a slot online through the Open Mic app or through the website www.openmichouston.com. 

I am truly excited to be taking on a weekly open mic again! Open mics are very special to me. I've met a host of friends through open mics. It's also a place to try out new songs or just put old favorites through their paces. I hosted one in Houston for a couple of years and was sad to see it go, so this is something I'm happy to be involved in again.
